Victorian Steampunk — A Digital Card Deck for Art of Solitaire

Art of Solitaire — the digital card game platform by Flick Games — invited me to create a custom deck for their game. The result is a digital adaptation of my Victorian Steampunk Playing Cards, originally designed as a physical deck.

The Steampunk universe is built around gears, pipes and industrial details. The court cards replace traditional figures with symbols — a sceptre for the King, a rose for the Queen, a pistol for the Jack. Each element was modelled and rendered in 3D, then adapted to the constraints of a digital card format.

Working at this scale is a specific challenge. Every detail needs to remain readable at a fraction of the size of a screen — which means making careful choices about what to keep, what to simplify, and where to place the visual weight.

The digital deck is now available to play on the Art of Solitaire platform. The physical Victorian Steampunk deck was originally launched on Kickstarter and will be the subject of a dedicated post.

Art of Solitaire also published a full interview about my work as a 3D illustrator.
